adidas alphatorsion:

color & materials, creative direction; a great shoe cut down by covid

Covid killed a heater. at a $100 price point, Alpha Torsion offered a lot of shoe at an affordable price.

When Covid hit and people all over the world were left reeling in the unknown, sales for sneakers from every brand dropped dramatically. Models were dropped to save cash on production and reduce the product offering in the market. Unfortunately the Alpha Torsion and Torsion Boost fell victim to this difficult business decision.

Looking back at this shoe I am proud of what I was able to create at such an affordable price point. The designer (Chris Padilla) created a shoe for me to work on that has so many possibilities in terms of color, materials and graphics. The shoe has since sold very well in the Asian market largely due to a great design that allowed me to have fun with dialing up energy where needed but offering commerciality as well.
